The Kayon Mountain Coffee Farm, owned by families with deep roots in coffee cultivation, shifted from supplying auctions to establishing their 500-hectare farm in 2012. Half of the land is dedicated to growing heirloom Typica coffee, with the remainder used for cabbage and preserving indigenous shade trees. Since 2015, after implementing washing stations and dry-hullers, they now directly export about 300 tonnes annually. Their coffee undergoes 24–36 hours of fermentation and 12–20 days of drying for its distinct quality
