For the second edition of our barrel-aged series, we wanted to stretch the limits of the intense flavors that can be brought out from coffee. In doing this we turned to the very prominent local distillery Ventura Spirits.
Since 2011, Ventura Spirits has used the natural and agricultural bounty of California's central coast to hand-craft novel and delicious spirits. Right away we knew we wanted to work with their Strawbery Brandy.
Distilled from California strawberries their one-of-a-kind brandy is aged for two years in French oak barrels. The result is a dry character with a lovely strawberry aroma and notes of honey and dried fruit. Our single-origin natural processed Ethiopia Adado coffee was the obvious choice with its strong strawberry candy, chocolate, and black tea notes.
After over a month and a half aging in the Strawberry Brandy barrels, we are proud to introduce Strawberry Fields Forever!
