We have a treat for you! Here you have a beautiful coffee from the famed producers, the Peterson Family of Hacienda La Esmeralda in Panama's Chiriqui region. The last time we released a coffee produced by the Peterson Family was a few years ago when we were still roasting coffee at our original location in Newbury Park, California. This time, we have a very small, nano-lot blend from the three farms under the care of Hacienda La Esmeralda - Cañas Verdes, Jaramillo, and El Velo. The blend consists of a variety of bean sizes, shapes and even some peaberries, but the fact is, this blend is 100% Gesha!

For those of you unfamiliar with the story of Hacienda La Esmeralda, the Peterson Family entered a unique lot separation from the highest altitude plot at the farm for the Best of Panama competition in 2004 that would end up capturing the attention of the specialty coffee world. As judges and coffee lovers alike began tasting this coffee, they realized this unlike any other coffee tasted in Central America. This cultivar became known as "Gesha". Gesha (also spelled, Geisha) is a cultivar of arabica with strong Ethiopian roots. Geshas are typically known for being extremely floral in aromatics, containing notes of tropical fruit, and being both light bodied and delicate on one hand, yet extremely flavorful and lingering on the palate. There are very few coffees like it and Hacienda La Esmeralda stands out among the best gesha producers in the world! We hope you enjoy this very special Ragamuffin release as we continue in our mission to "share good coffee".
This coffee is a very limited run and wont be around for long. To make sure you don't miss out order here today!
